On offer is a ca. 1650 Continental (probably Spanish) brass/copper alloy capstan-type candlestick, featuring a short baluster stem with candle cup and circular ejector holes, on a circular dish base with molded foot . This candlestick measures about five inches tall; base diameter is about 5.5 inches. Weight is about 17 ounces.This candlestick was modified to become a lamp base, as there is a single hole on the base and a strip of metal soldered in place underneath the base. Condition is otherwise generally good, with wear and spots of discoloration commensurate with age.Please consider my other items for sale, including other early candlesticks.Buyer to pay actual cost of postage; international bidders are welcome.
