ITEM IS A BASKET WEAVE AND A FRESH FIND FROM A LOCAL ESTATE.EEL TRAP WAS USED BY NATIVE AMERICANS AND EARLY SETTLERS TO CATCH EELS. PROBABLY OFF OF NEW ENGLAND. ITEM FOR ITS AGE IS IN GREAT CONDITION. IT STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL END PLUG.TRAP MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 22 " LONG BY 8 " WIDE MAX TO 6" ON CLOSED END.
