DESCRIPTION: This auction is for a "lovely" German china head lady doll for display. She is well dressed in "hand made" black two piece Victorian dress. I do not know her past history, she shows "restoration", will describe her the best I can. Reference shows similar shoulder heads made by Hertwig in the late 1800s to early 1900s, Germany. This doll measures 18" tall being a china shoulder head, replacement hard plastic hands, with possibly antique cloth body. Her clothing is stitched on and around the doll, I did not remove the clothing since her body looks old and fragile. Her white blouse is lovely with stitching up the front under the lace. I felt around the shoulder plate and it is together. I pulled up her pantaloons to see old cloth legs. I can not verify what the body looks like, it is all together what I can see. A Beautiful face with painted blue eyes, black liner over the eye lids with no lower liner, coral liner over the black liner, black brows and closed mouth with darker accent through the lips. Rose color blush accents her white china face. She has painted molded black wavy hair. I do not see any cracks on this china head. She holds a purse in hand which accents her Victorian style outfit. Clothing needs a light cleaning. She is not wearing any shoes. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
