I am selling my 18 inch Lortone power-feed slab saw. The saw is in excellent working condition and is much heavier construction than 18 inch power-feed slab saws being made today. I have owned and operated the saw for 12 years and can vouch for everything said. It is a solid, working slab saw. A new 18 Inch Lortone power-feed slab saw costs $3800. The unit's electric motor runs strong and smooth. The two drive belts (one belt for the blade and one belt for the power feed vice) are in excellent condition. One belt is new. All drive bearings are tight with no play. (I have included one photo with the side cover opened to show the unit's belt drive system) The blade axle is true and straight.The power-feed vice works properly and has an auto-shut off chain-switch Just change the length of chain on the auto-shut off to automatically shut the saw down after a slab is cut. There is a three step pulley off the power feed belt so one can change the speed that rock cuts based on the hardness of the stone. For example, a hard agate would require the slowest step, where a softer stone could use the fastest step.The oil reservoir pan is very solid and does not leak any oil.
