This beautiful Derby Silver Co. Art Nouveau Silverplate Jewelry Casket has the early Derby mark which dates it to the 19th century. You can research this particular company by visiting /derby_silver_company.htm This high relief hinged box with moss green velvet interior measures about 6 1/2" long x 6" wide x 2 1/2" tall. Condition is very good to excellent with it's 100 plus age. Noted for accuracy are a few areas of wear to the silverplate and one small hole above the Maiden's head in her hair. Please refer to photos.No dings, pings or dents.The box rests upon 4 lovely nicely detailed feet. The moss green lining is intact with very little wear, and no tears. The hinging is secure and closes securely. The Derby Co. mark features the first Derby Company mark of an anchor within a circle and reads, "DERBY SILVER CO.
