Up for auction is a full size Violin with very nicely grained spruce top (no cracks or repairs seen) and very nicely flamed Maple back and ribs. There is no lable in this violin, but from the lining and blocking, and materials used, we can tell it is a very good violin and made most likely in the late 1800's. It does need to be set up completely, but there are no repairs needed. The neck is strong and tight and all else is in good order. We have tried the violin with just 2 strings, and it has a very deep strong sound. It should be a very nice violin, once strung, and our estimate is that it should be aprox. in the $1200.00-$1600.00 range, if sold in a string instrument shop. We do stand behind all our instruments and are a 3rd generation luthier studio in Boston. Acution is starting off low. Please feel free to ask any questions. We Do Ship World Wide often. This violin will be shipped in a hard case and well protected. and thanks for looking.......... Posted with eBay Mobile
