Up for auction today,a little teapot, signed GF Filley, St. Louis. Holds 1 cup. Measures 4.5 inches long and is 4 inches tall. Looks like original bale has been replaced. I read somew that Filley painted some of their toys, this one is painted. Looks totally original, not repainted or anything like that, although it would appear to me that t might have been some minor touch ups made, I say that because I see some flat black paint on the bale and the entire teapot has the high gloss paint. Also t are some bare spots, w the paint has worn off, see pics for close up views. No rust, or evidence of any rust ever having been t I thought about removing the paint , cleaning and seasoning it, but decided to leave it the way it is, because I think it's the way that it's supposed to be, but I'm not an expert. Condition is very good, solid, no damage. No cracks, chips or repairs. Sits flat. Not a repro, this is a real antique. History is unknown, I can tell you that I bought this on ebay a little while ago. Seller was grocer55, item number 2000084711277. Every now and then I come across a really great piece of cast iron, this is one of those pieces, I've decided to sell it, that way I can keep on looking and buying more of my favorite new hobby, collecting MORE cast iron. Shipping will be 12.50, USPS Priority with del.confirmation, and
