is a recent estate find from Historic New England. This is a Huge Pair Of Gothic Cast Iron Fireplace Andirons with Large Cannon Ball Tops, which date from the 1800's. This is a rare 3 peice Andirion Set Which has a Decorative Crossbar. I have never seen a set like this! This is definately Rare and Unique. These are very Solid and heavy and weigh approx. 18 pounds each. The Crossbar measures approx. 41" long and weighs approx. 12 pounds. The Andirons are very solid and and ornate with a nice aged patina. They are Gothic in design and hand forged. The each measure approx. 20 1/2" tall, 9 3/4" wide at the base and 17 1/2" deep if measured from the front, or 12 1/4" deep if measured from w the leg on the firedog starts. The Cannon Ball on top is huge and has a diameter of approx. 4 3/4". This is a Stunning and Rare Original Period Peice!
