You are bidding on a Very Old Sampler. The sampler is dated to the mid 1800s and is in excellent conditon. The thick paper backing is falling apart and is very fragile with tape holding it to the back of the sampler..The cloth appears to be linen and the stitching may be a wool or silk..I am not sure..It has a wonderful poem stitched in black. the design of the womans head and the flowers are just beautiful. The sampler is framed in a wooden frame from the early 1900s but the sampler is the mid 1800s. The measurements are 13 inches by 10. Thank you for bidding and please visit my other auctions.
