Title: Hungary and Transilvania Cartographer: Robert Wilkinson Time and Place: 1808, London Publisher: Robert Wilkinson, No 56 Cornhill, LondonReference: “A General Atlas being a collection of Maps of the World and Quarters…” Dimensions & Type: 11 x 9 on a larger sheet,engraved map with original hand-color Condition: VG+, very clean example. Description: Dated 1806 on map, but from the 1808 edition of the atlas. Included are 4 parts of Upper and Lower Hungary, Croatia, Sclavonia, "Bannat" and Transilvania. Not common to see Transilvania--todays Transylvania--- on a map, even in this period. Exquisite amount of detaill and a fine strike with bright original color on this original map.
