THE STAR (early Raleigh, North Carolina newspaper) from June 17, 1814 Vol. VI - No.24 Published: Raleigh, NC, 1814 . 4 pp. in 2 sheets. Professionally backed on archival tissue paper. Signature of Maj. W.B. Lenoir (Campbells Station) on top left corner of first page. An incredible piece of North Caroliniana, exceptionally rare to find any North Carolina newspapers from this period, particularly 1814. Lots of ads for reward for runaway slaves, etc. and of course the news of the day, both local and national. A true find! Not Ex-Lib.
