An extraordinary antique textile , fully intact ~ this beautiful textile is French and dates c 1820-1830. The backing is an earlier fabric, dating from the late 1700's ~ this textile would have hung around the interior of a 4 poster bed as a valance. The front fabric is a light weight printed cotton with stunning purple floral design. Tiny piocate in the ground pattern ~ the backing is a hand woven indigo blue Vichy check fabric , wonderful medium weight. The trim along the bottom of this piece is extraordinary! ~ linen and cotton, all hand woven ~ such a beautiful find! Ideal for hanging or deconstruction for many many many glorious projects ~*~ ~ ! ( UB 111 )~*~MEASUREMENTS: This wonderful textile measures 213 inches long!!~ The depth is approximately 22 inches deep and the trim extends by approx. 2.5 inches from this ~*~CONDITION : This textile is in beautiful condition for its age. There are some small holes, some marks some damage to the trim , all to be expected, however generally it's in lovely antique condition ~ ( please use the zoom feature to view condition closely ~*~ ) *~ ~*~ ~*~~*~
