FINE 1820's ENGLISH OIL ON PANEL - PORTRAIT OF A LADY SUPERB WORK - MRS FORBES - BEAUTIFUL PERIOD PORTRAIT FINE 1820's ENGLISH OIL ON PANEL - PORTRAIT OF A LADY SUPERB WORK - MRS FORBES - BEAUTIFUL PERIOD PORTRAIT ENGLISH OIL ON PANEL CIRCA 1810 - 1830 "Portrait of Mrs Forbes" A very interesting and delicate oil on panel depicting a ebautiful woman with ehr hair up and jewellery. She is superbly painted and housed in her original gilt frame. The work is inscribed verso with the sitters name and is on a beautiful panel and has an old wax collectors mark on the back. The painting is obviously by an exceptional painter we just dont know who - it looks very similar to the work of Sir Thomas Lawrence R.A. and it's certainly from his period.
