Staffordshire Transferware. Nice early blue transferware plate. The pattern is "Abbey Ruins". This was made by Thomas Mayer in Longport(1836-1838). Marked with printed pattern and makers mark. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Little if any wear. Beautiful early example. Measures about 9 1/4".
