Up for auction is a leatherbound 1832 Complete System of Farriery and Veterinary Medicine. Book contains a compendium of the veterinary art or an accurate description of the diseases of horses and their mode of treatment, the anatomy and physiology of the foot and the principals and practice of shoeing. By James White, late vererinary surgeon to the first royal dragoons. Book cover has wear. Book has a lot of foxing on the pages, some creased pages and is missing one page. Otherwise a very nice early veterinary book. Great early book for any collection.
