Lord Byron , aka: George Gordon Byron (1788-1824), was a British poet and one of the leading figures in the Romantic Movement. Widely read and appreciated to this day, Byron gave proof of the ‘madness’ of poets with his aristocratic excesses, multiple romantic affairs (including one with his half-sister) and his penchant for extending himself into great debt. Renowned for his beautiful appearance, Byron gave as much vigor to his daily life as he did to such poems as Don Juan and She Walks in Beauty. For your consideration is this 1833 three volume illustrated set of the Letters and Journals of Lord Byron: with Notices of His Life, by Thomas Moore. Condition notes: Good.
