Without formal education, his dedication to horticulture eventually earned him a seat in the House of Commons and a knighthood. His Magazine of Botany series, published in 16 volumes from 1834-1849 have become highly prized for their brilliant colors and the outstanding beauty of the plants illustrated.We are currently offering a selection of prints all volumes, published in 1834-1849. Each print is untrimmed, measuring approximately 6 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches long and is accompanied by the original descriptive text. The condition of these prints is excellent, with the paper generally a soft white to creamy in color. They are all beautifully hand colored, with the vivid hand coloring that Paxton prints are noted for. Please inspect the image carefully, as it is very accurate.
