David Crockett, of Tennessee, arrived in this city on Tuesday afternoon, and immediately after his landing took up his line of march to the American Hotel, etc.Note: David Crockett (August 17, 1786-March 6, 1836), was a 19th Century American Folk Hero, Frontiersman, a Soldier and politician. He is commonly represented to in culture by the epithet "King of the Wild Frontier". He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1827-1829. 1829-1831 &. He served in the Texas Revolution and was killed in the Alamo on May 6, 1836.Note: This was Davy Crockett's tour in the north and down east.
