This listing is for a 1835 Coronet Cent with nice detail and surfaces.. The photos are lighter then the actual coin, it is a very dark brown... The Large "8" Variety is always difficult to find in any condition.. The reverse is rotated slightly...... It's a much Better Date Large Cent with the Large "8" and "Large Stars"... Head of 1834... I see alot of listing that post the large 8 variety with the small 8... Be careful, everyone wants their coin to be the Large 8, but without the large 8 it's not ... Make sure you see the "8" bigger then the rest of the date and the top of the "8" should be above or higher then the rest of the date....The coin literature has never adjusted to the rarity of this coin... This variety rarely shows up for auction or at shows... The guys that update the coin literature just never see sales because of it's rarity, so how can anyone expect them to update prices... Do the research, Heritage auction archives show very few over the last 20 years of records... Buy the real "LARGE 8"...
