CONTENT: THE FALL OF BEXAR - THE ENTIRE TROOPS IN GARRISON PUT TO DEATH - COLONELS BOWIE AND CROCKETT KILLED! - a letter from an A Briscoe tells the story "Bexar has fallen! - garrison only 187 strong, commanded by Col. W. Travis - attacked by 2000 men, after an hour's fighting, the whole garrison put to death, Travis shot himself to prevent being captured - you have received the declaration of independence and the constitution in a few days - Cols James Bowie and David Crockett among the slain, Bowie in his bed being ill and Crockett died fighting like a tiger - then more particulars are given from a passenger on the Camanche 8 days from the Brazos - begins with the February 25th attack , the Mexican entrenchments around the Alamo until the 2nd and shelling began, 32 men were added on March 1st when
