No. 7 Disston 18" split nut hand saw. Best as I can determine, this would date in the 1840-1850 era. For it's age, in pretty decent shape. Blade has been lightly cleaned to reveal the blade stamping. Has some surface rust that will likely leave some pitting. With some effort, will clean up considerably better than it is. Blade marked Henry Disston Keystone Saw Works Philadelphia, cast steel, 7, warranted. Measures 1 3/4 at the tip, 4 1/2 in front of the handle. Has the gunsight on the blade. Teeth section is 18", overall length is 22". Blade does have a slight curvature to it, not kinked. Handle shows some wear. Some chipping on the horn ends. Look over the photos, feel free to ask for any other info. This old saw deserves a nice restoration for the years of service it has given. Will make a great addition to your collection. No reserve, goes to the highest bid. Will not end auction early.
