Up for auction is a vintage folded stampless cover and letter combination, that was written at and mailed from Washington City and addressed to the Honorable Benjamin Carr, Thomaston, Maine. Cover was mailed via a FREE frank courtesy of A. Marshall, Member of Congress. Letter dated June 6, 1842 and is of a political nature. Letter written by Alfred Marshall...Letter a little hard for me to read, but it's manageable.... paper has second sheet tears, edge wear, staining and has age toning...paper has an overall dirty appearance to it..... . ...... . ........ .............. ....... ... .. .......................... ... . ********MULTIPLE AUCTION WINNERS::::::::Please wait until I send an invoice before paying.
