This is an original 1844 letter hand signed by Henry Gilpin, Attorney General for President Martin Van Buren. Gilpin (1801-1860) was an American Quaker lawyer, and Attorney General under Martin Van Buren. The letter is written and signed in fountain pen, with typical mailing folds, and measures about 5 by 7.5 inches. Thank you, and please see my other items.
