You are bidding on this beautiful vintage Silverplate Flatware set marked 1847 Rogers - all pieces are marked - this is the "Ambassador" pattern. You get all 82 pieces you see and the original case. Nine serving pieces (3 Tablespoons, Pierced Tomato Server, Medium Cold Meat Serving Fork, Master Butter Knife, Gravy Ladle, Sugar Spoon, Cake /Pie Server) and eight complete table settings (dinner fork, butter spreader, dinner fork, salad fork, oyster fork (this is baltimore hon), teaspoon, ice tea spoon, oval soup spoon) are included. Plus you get 8 extra teaspoons, and one extra oyster fork.Overall condition of this set is good to very good. Silverplate needs to be polished but t are no areas of lost plating. This set has been used, so you will see signs of use - ie light scratches on the knife blades, etc. Original wooden chest is included but is in poor to fair condition - lid is detached, lining is detached from lid, deep scratches on surface, small crack on front, can be repaired by woodworker/handyman.
