You will look high and low for a more pleasing color combination than on this 1848 coverlet. The red and green is stunning and it retains all of its fringe. It is signed J. Heeter, Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio 1848. Now for the less-than-perfect news; it is half of the coverlet only. One pass on the loom is all this coverlet got or perhaps t was significant damage on the other side and someone separated the two pieces at the center seam. I find that hard to believe though as t is no damage on this piece at all. A mystery! Anyway, it looks wonderful just as is, folded once and draped at the end of a bed or folded in a cupboard.Size: 35" x 92"Condition: Clean with no bad smells, no stains or holes. No missing fringe other than the main seam which never had any. A very nice piece!!I ship to the USA only. I have no reserve on this so have fun!
