Here's two stampless letters written by George Brydges Rodney, who was a former Congressman, and working as a lawyer, when he wrote these. The 1849 folded lettersheet / stampless letter has a red circular date stamp for NEWCASTLE DEL. JUL 20, a 5 cents rate, and is addressed to Cantwells Bridge, and is a brief letter written by Geo. B. Rodney. The dateline is New Castle, July 20, 1849. He writes about having a deed sent down by boat. The 1852 folded lettersheet / stampless letter has a blue circular date stamp for NEWCASTLE Del. SEP 6, a matching PAID 3 in a circle, and is addressed to Cantwell Bridge, and is an approximate one page letter written by G.B. Rodney. The dateline is New Castle, Sept 6, 1852.
