The Farmers' Almanac, FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1849 By Robert B. Thomas Published by Benjamin B. Mussey & Co., Booksellers, Publishers, and Stationers, Wholesale and Retail No. 29 Cornhill, Boston This particular almanac happens to have 2 covers, front and back, and the outer one has protected the inner one somewhat. The outer one sppears to be sewn on by hand. I've given you a close up of the top corner w someone has fashioned a little loop of threads with which to hang the almanac on a nail or hook. The outer cover has on it a stamp that reads: Charles M. Johnson 3521 Vista St. Long Beach 3, Calif On page 18 t is a pretty little handwritten note pertaining to potatoes. I've given you a photo of that also. On page 42 t's a map of New England that you'll enjoy. T is wonderfully interesting history in this little book with the stitching, the loop, the note, the 2 covers, the stamp, and, of course, the usual smudges and stains that are to be expected on a book of this type and this age! Overall, this almanac is in very good condition. All pages are present, and all can easily be read in their entirety. Thank you very much for looking!
