Superb and possibly one of only two known variant examples of a beautiful 1850s original/vintage 1/6 plate daguerreotype case titled," Mistress and The Lady Servant".This particular case has an inlay in all 4 corners which is only known in one other example. The two listed examples of this case are V V Rare .Both list for $850.00 The brown leather spine with gold-gilt decoration has some wear but is solid .Rails are also gold-gilt and are all intact.Closes nicely. Guaranteed to be an ORIGINAL thermoplastic case that is approximately 160 years old. Always happy to COMBINE shipping !
