U.S. - 1850's printed advertising cover from the "Erie Land Office" in Buffalo, N.Y. Franked with a 3c Washington imperforate, Type II, with recut inner lines, dull red, 11A. Stamp is tied to cover by a Buffalo, N.Y. postmark dated September 5 with no year date. Addressed to Detroit, Mich. Someone wrote on reverse in pencil. Notes include a plate position, 76L2L. I'm not good enough to plate the stamp. Certainly could be. 2L is listed in Scott as a plate for 11A. CONDITION: Fine/Very Fine. Some wear, including a little edge wear.
