1850's Justice of the Peace document for Revolutionary War Widow - Bausman, Bier

This document is a Justice of the Peace document from Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania stating that Elizabeth Bausman appeared before him and being duly sworn, according to law, stated that she was the widow of William Bausman, who was a forage master in the War of the Revolution and as such drew a pension of $480 per annum and that she believes that she is entitled to a higher pension. There were/are a total of 28 documents in the Amweg file regarding the Bausman claim and we know, therefore that William was a lieutenant and forage master and Elizabeth's maiden name was Bier. After the war William served as Register of Wills in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and that he died in 1833. We also know that the William Bausman who served as forage master was William Bausman, Jr., son of William Bausman who also served in the Revolutionary War as Barracks Master and who died in 1784. There was, also, apparently, one more William Bausman, as well - the son of William Bausman, Jr.. This William Bausman passed away in 1823. His name had appeared as a witness on pension payments to William Bausman, Jr. This Bausman claim pulled out some celebrities of the time such as this document and a couple from future president James Buchanan who also wrote on Elizabeth's behalf.This document from the files of Col.
