New York: Collection includes 8 individual pieces of original historic Glen Cove, Long Island NY paper ephemera regarding Peter Luyster & his estate, including: 1851 purchase of bricks by James Luyster "& Brother" from Mr. Woolsey (receipted on back to 'Luyster & Son"); 1855 Peter Luyster being billed by Isaac Coles for various goods-glass jar, soap, nails, ink, meat; 1856 bill to "Estate of Peter Luyster" apparently deceased from Grumman & Coles for Lead, various piping & pump; 1856 Joshua Kirk billing for shelving, lathwork, the bill indicates that one "John B. Laish(?)" was the executor for the estate; 1856 a poignant receipt-document for Making Coffin & box from James B. Kirby; 1856 John Hays billing for mending and repairing shoes, a long list of small expenses, paid by the estate; 1857 a receipt to Oakley Ketcham for various horse gear, harness, halter, traces; and a 1858 partially printed receipt from the Glen Cove Gazette to the Estate of Peter Luyster for printing "50 bills of Auction of Real Estate" evidently to wind up the affairs; average size approx. 5" x 7", some smaller, some larger; varying paper color, quality; light wear, occasional fold lines; generally in very good
