You are bidding on an antique hardcover book titled Contributions to the History of the Lackawanna Valley. By H. Hollister. Printed by W. H. Tinson, Printer and Stereotyper, 1857. This is the very scarce and collectible First Edition. Book covers many topics about the LackawannaValley of Pennsylvania (Scranton area). Some of the topics from the Contents page are: Indian names, Minerals and Mining, Indian Tribes and History, War Path, An Indian Legend, Mills and Forges, Carbondale, Canal and Railroad, and so much more! CBook has an illustrated frontispiece protected by a tissue guard. There is also a map. Book features brown cloth binding with gold lettering on spine and blind-stamped design on covers. The binding shows wear and discoloration. Top of spine has loss. Covers securely attached. All pages are tightly bound. The pages have some light, sporadic foxing.
