Original Vintage CDV Photograph. Circa 1860s, by Wm. Shew of San Francisco. A Rare Image by this well known Photographer. A Vignetted Portrait of John Morrill in uniform. He was NH Captain, then of the Illinois 64th in 1861, Lt. Col in 1862, Col in 1864, and then Brevet General. He commanded the XVI Army of Tennessee, and died in 1893. On the back of the mount he has inscribed and autographed "Affectionately Yours, J Morrill". A Rare and Important Photograph. Imge is Clean, Clear and Sharp, with Fine Detail....Excellent Condition....No Reserve....
