H.R.H. Prince Albert, The Prince Consort (1819-61) A nice original mourning card produced on the death of Prince Albert, The Prince Consort of Queen Victoria. No publisher noted, the head of the Prince nicely embossed. The death of the Prince Consort in 1861 started the trend in mourning cards, which was to last throughout the 19th Century. Approx. 115x78mm., a couple of peripheral marks and light discolouration.
