1862 3CS MS65 PCGS. A substantial mintage of 343,000 trimes was accomplished in 1862, but few examples circulated because of Civil War hoarding and specie restrictions. The present coin is a sharply detailed Gem, with mottled gray and lavender patina. Original mint luster shines through the toning. Grade: 65, Service: PCGS, Service No.: 3680, Issue Date: 1862, Denomination: 3CS
