Thanks for looking. Up for auction today and fresh from a local estate we have a very nice grouping of civil war era letters and more. First is a Letter from "Headquarters Company D 53rd Regiment Pa Vols" dated April 19th 1864. This letter is written to Esq. Graham to " announcing to you the death of your son John Graham, who's disease was something like the Lyphord Fever, was sick about five days prior to his death and placed and the regimental hospital". Also says in letter his son was a member of 53rd reg. PA Volunterers, describes his personal effects, this letter written by Lauren A. Henff, 1st Div. 53rd Regt PA Vols Commanding Comapny D, very good conditon. Next we have a letter dated February 1st 1853, its a letter from Areh J. June Captain 53rd Regiment PA, says to deliver final statement of Leonard D. Willaims, late of this company, to his legal represenative, very good condition. Next we have a piece which says on one side "W. Settles Officers", and on the other lists "Co, P, Pro 2nd, PA. H Art", officers names: "Capt Rees P. Millard, 1 Lieut Chad Mawrer, 2nd Lieut Stephen S Begel, Colonel Thomas Willhelm, Lt. Col B.S. Barney, Agitant Wm B.
