SEYMOUR'S HUMOROUS SKETCHES comprising Eighty-Six Caricature Etchings Illustrated in Prose and Verse by Alfred Crowquill With a descriptive list of the plates and a biographical notice of Robert Seymour, including an account of his connexion with the Pickwick Papers, by Henry G. Bohn Published by T. Miles & Co Dated 1866 to the Biographical Notice A very good hardcover book. Tight and square, with the end-papers having been professionally and sympathetically replaced and a small binders label showing to the front pastedown. The contents are mostly good and clean, with light spotting to a few pages only. Fairly light staining/marking to the head of two of the preliminary pages (see image). Complete with 86 etchings. Externally there is light wear to the rear cover, with the spine lightly rubbed and moderately faded and sunned. Moderate foxing effecting the page-edges.
