Features ferrotype portraits of Republican Candidates General U.S. Grant and Schuyler Colfax. The ferrotypes are enclosed in a circular button/coin type object and framed by a star. T is an eagle, at top, holding the entire piece. The pin is attached to the back of the eagle. Candidates names are etched at the top of each ferrotype: GEN. U.S. GRANT and SCHUYLER COLFAX. SIZE. The entire piece is approximately 2 3/8 x 1 1/2 inches. The round part with ferrotypes is approximately 7/8 of an inch in diameter. The openings for the ferrotypes are approximately 3/8 of an inch in diameter. The star is approximately 1 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches. The eagle is approximately 1/2 of an inch by 1 inch. The pin is approximately 1 inch long. CONDITION. T is some light scuffing/surface wear on the ferrotypes. Good condition. PLEASE SEE SCANS. APPEARANCE.
