FRENCH BRONZE and porcelain inkwell with globe CIRCA 1870 The world globe signed: “Sphere Terrestre GB” in good condition for the age. Globe presents in particular the lines of international railroads, the telegraphic lines, the steam shipping lines and the submarine cables. Globe rests on Bronze and porcelain inkwell, also in good condition (with little chip of porcelain). Globe is attached to the lid, made to take it off (with the twist) to use inkwell.Dimensions: 9” tall, 5” wide Globe Diameter – 3”, Age determination: No Congo State (1885) No Rhodesia (1895) Suez Canal Open (?)
