Offering this magnificent real antique (circa 1870's) solid brass fireplace fender. Some have described this as French with fancy filigree. Take a look at all of that very ornate & fancy design, it is a real treasure! This fender measures 51" long and is about 8" deep and stands 6" tall in the center and on the ends. There is a solid iron rod behind the thick brass body that is secured with a series of steel screws holding the five thick solid brass cast pieces together that make up this fine antique brass fireplace fender. This has been stored away for more than 60 years. There is some old patina and much of the nice brass shows also. A heavy and well crafted piece in wonderful solid condition. Weight is 25 pounds.
