No loose or missing pages. Good example of an extremely rare antique book.Description:This is a very rare copy of Rev. Herbert Morris's SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE. In this book, the author employs the Biblical account of Creation and the tools of modern science to examine nature in all is wonder and mystery. His goal: to demonstrate beyond dispute that the intricacies of our world and universe are the result of a "universal presence and unremitting agency" - that of God, the Creator.SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE is arranged according to the six-day chronology set forth in the Book of Genesis.Morris insists that the six days were literal and there is no need for figural interpretations. Thus, the first section is entitled "The First Day," and under this heading is discussed the nature and science of Light (because on the First Day, God said "Let there be Light"). Under the heading of "The Second Day," you will find the author's inquiries into the Atmosphere, Winds, Lightning, and Thunder, etc. Under "The Third Day," an examination of the world's oceans. On the Fourth Day, the Sun, the Moon, the Planets, etc. And so on.Morris furnishes a detailed look at how our world and universe were created, from "The Beginning, " through "Chaos," the age of the dinosaurs, etc. and shows how it all dovetails with the Biblical account of Creation.
