SUPERB and Very good full leather binding heavily decorated in gilt on spine (hinges fine, overall slightly scuffed). All edges gilt. Very good content (exlibray copy, marbled endpapers, bright, tight and clean, ink stamps on title page). With a portrait frontispiece. The books: A very nice 19th century set with superb binding. Tennyson was made Poet Laureate in succession to Wordsworth in 1850. He was held in the highest regard by Victoria and Albert. All of his great works are included , including the "Idylls" and the "Charge of the Light Brigade". A handsome publication produced during the poet's lifetime.
