This is an original 1873 bank check from Huntsville, AL. RN-D1 revenue stamp. It is issued on Fordyce and Rison, Bankers. This bank was organized after the Civil War by Samuel Fordyce and William Richard Rison. The check is signed by Robt S. Spragins (Robert S. Spragins). Archival tape on the reverse across three paper break cancels (Old checks were often cancelled by breaking the paper with a hammer). Please take a look at our other documents in our Ebay Store.
