Attractive detailed period map, titled, in fancy antique lettering, Map of Abington and Rockland, Plymouth County, Mass, Drawn by Charles W. Howland, 1874. I like how the year produced is right in the title, it dates the map nicely. The map shows North Abington , Rockland , South Abington, Auburnville , Northville , Hanson , Abington and more. The map shows the named railroads, houses that were , streets, and much more. The map has cleanly seperated along the bottom middle fold. This can be common in old antique maps, if framed properly the map will look fine. Has a light stain in areas at extreme left hand side, not bad, see my photo. This is an antique map and not a reprint or reproduction. The handcoloring on the map is period to the map, this is before color printing. The map is from the very rare 1874 Hart Atlas of Abington and Rockland Massachusetts . The map is a fascinating and historic period look at this area at this time.
