Up for auction is an 1874 four page Letter written from Santa Barbara California by Edward Hoit to his Sister. He says that after three generations of emigration you will not be able to tell the Eastern Strain of Blood from the lowdown Digger or Spanish American. That there is no more Gold to find or cheap Land to be had and new comers find it hard to make a living. It measures 5 x 8 inches and is in nice condition
