1875, Large Sterling Silver Fusee English Lever Pocket Watch; Cleaned & Working Description: On offer is a very good Solid Silver Fusee Table Roller English Lever Pocket Watch. This is a nice example with a beautifully engraved Solid Silver dial offset by Gold numerals and applied Gold decoration. The double-bottomed original case is Hallmarked for Sterling Silver, London, 1875. This is quite a large & heavy watch at 53.3mm diameter, 21mm thick and weighing 140g. The Movement is unsigned though the the casemaker's mark I.H (for John Harris, York Street, Coventry & later (1886) Hertford Place, Coventry) is clearly visible. The case and movement are both numbered 39107 . A lovely example of a mid-Victorian Gentleman's Pocket Watch. The watch has been completely dismantled and each component individually hand-cleaned, then oiled properly during reassembly. It is in excellent clean working order with no unexpected stoppages over a two week testing period. The watch will be supplied complete with Antique key and well illustrated English fusee lever operational instructions. Case : Original double-bottomed case in very good condition apart from the rear cover, bearing the London Hallmarks for Sterling Silver, 1875 (lower case gothic u) . Case maker's mark I.H for John Harris as detailed above. Front cover closes beautifully and both read more
