This auction is for an antique 1st Edition 1877 St. Nicholas Scribner's Illustrated Magazine For Girls And Boys Vol. IV Nov. 1876 - Nov. 1877. Lots of Great illustrations in these issues! St. Nicholas was a magazine for children. Volume IV, in the series of bound volumes of "St. Nicholas, An Illustrated Monthly Magazine for Young Folks", conducted by Mary Mapes Dodge, comprising the issues of November 1876 to November 1877. Published in New York by Scribner & Company, it contains the usual high quality selection of fiction, non-fiction, artwork and poetry. Included is a Reminiscence Of Abraham Lincoln, "Birds, Christmas stories and illustrations, along with lots more. Illustrators of the time. Bound in pictorial red cloth with gold gilt. Book is filled with wonderful stories, illustrations, poems, etc.. Hardcover with bumping. Bindings and hinges both with play and loose. Pages with small rips here and there with the worst in the table of contents with a few pages with small chunks out of bottom, no stains and only slight browning. Approx. measuring about 7 1/2" x 9-1/2". Overall Fair to Good condition for this old volume. I am not an expert in this type of item. Cashiers check or PayPal only please!
