You are bidding on a very nice 1879 1884 Trapdoor Springfield Service rifle stock in nice condition with a trace of a cartouche, along with a faint trace of a firing proof. It includes both band springs, side washers, ramrod stop and the nose cap. NOTHING else. This stock accepts a wide receiver. The ram rod channel is nice. WHY BUY A UNFINISHED MODERN DAY COPY WHEN FOR THE SAME MONEY YOU CAN BUY A GENUINE ORIGINAL STOCK? All metal parts should fit well in this stock.. All in all it looks excellent. This stock has the usual small tight crack in the bbl bed near the mainspring cut that 95% of these rifles have. It is perfectly usable as is.See photos. On a 10 scale, I would give it a 8 or so. For being almost 135 years old it's very nice. You have to be careful with Trapdoor stocks these days. I see a lot of repros advertised as originals with counterfeit cartouches. They are crude and easily spotted. S&H will be a flat rate of $20 anywhere in the lower 48 States by USPS Mail. Shipping may be combined. NO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS PLEASE. PLEASE NOTE: The parts you are bidding on are used. Do not expect new condition, they are over 100 years old. Not all parts are interchangable among models. Some must be altered or not used at all. If a part does not fit, it may be returned as long as it has not been altered. All parts have been removed read more
