Plates are marked: Kraufsu & Eltzner sc Leipzig. 6th edition. Circa, 1879. First issued in English translation in 1878 in London. Each plate containing multiple figures and with an accompanying page of descriptive text. Bock was professor of pathological anatomy at Leipzig. An important anatomical atlas. The seventh and last German edition appeared in 1890. Heavy Book. Measure approximately 15 x 11 x 1 inches. Dark Brown Covered Boards. CONDITION: damage at head and tail of spine panel, ( see pix) edge & corner wear, front and rear inside hinges are cracked, title page is missing, first 3 pages and end page is detached from book, inside pages have light age toning, some of the pages have a very light stain on the bottom edge, no rip, torn or dirty pages. a DECENT copy, with the plates in good condition.
