A very high quality and detailed Victorian map of the continent, from a dilapidated 1880 edition of the Royal Atlas of Modern Geography by Alexander Keith Johnston. Printed on very heavy paper with gilt edges; it’s large, measuring approx 57cm x 44cm excluding margins with a vertical centrefold as issued. Extremely detailed - I've included a scan of a small part of the map to illustrate. Condition is very good indeed. Clean and fresh image; margins lightly toned with some very light handling soiling; edges lightly bumped in places with a couple of tiny tears; tiny split at bottom end of centrefold. Verso blank and very clean. I will post the map rolled in a wide-diameter posting tube. First class postage in the UK is 2.70 plus £1.10 for the tube. Many thanks for your interest.
